Why use Mo & Marine?
Why use Mo & Marine?
Many wet wipes are still made with plastic fibres. That means every single one sits in landfill for centuries.
We made Mo & Marine for parents and wipe buyers who want better. Better for their skin, and better for the planet.
Our wipes are made from FSC-certified viscose – soft, strong, and sustainably sourced from responsibly managed forests. With 99.4% pure water and no alcohol, parabens, or harsh fragrances, they're kind enough for newborns and anyone with sensitive skin.
Our formula is dermatologically tested, approved by Allergy UK as an 'Allergy-Friendly Product', and Vegan Society certified.
And we believe that doing the right thing shouldn't stop at the nappy bin. That's why we donate 1% of every sale to environmental conservation projects – from planting mangrove forests to cleaning up beaches. So every wipe you use does a little good in the world.
No plastic. No nasties. No guilt.

How does the subscription work? Am I signing a life contract?
Good grief, no. We aren't a gym. You can skip, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Going on holiday? Pause it. Potty trained early (you lucky thing)? Cancel it. We won’t make it weird.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Wipes (What's Inside...)
Are these safe for my baby’s super-sensitive skin?
Absolutely. Our wipes are approved by Allergy UK. We didn’t want any nasties touching babies’ delicate skin, so we stripped out the alcohol, the parabens, and the harsh fragrances.
Our formula is 99.4% pure water, with gentle cleaning and a splash of mild preservatives to keep them fresh. They are dermatologically tested to be suitable for sensitive skin. Basically they are as gentle as a lullaby, but better at cleaning.
Why FSC viscose? Why not cotton or bamboo?
We love bamboo, but we chose FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified viscose because it guarantees the wood pulp comes from forests that are managed responsibly.
No ancient forests were harmed in the wiping of this bottom. The wipes are soft, strong and sustainable. The Holy Trinity of wiping.
Is the packaging plastic-free too?
This is the tricky bit. To keep the wipes wet, we need a wrapper that seals tight.
Currently, our packaging is made from a recyclable plastic that you can recycle at large supermarkets with your carrier bags. We are working on a home-compostable film, but we haven't found one yet that doesn't dissolve on the shelf! Watch this space.
Disposal
Let’s cut to the chase. Can I flush these down the loo?
Please don’t. We know, it’s tempting. The crime scene is messy, and the toilet is right there. But even though our wipes are plastic-free and made from natural ingredients, they don’t break down in the seconds it takes to travel through your pipes.
Flushing wipes contributes to "Fatbergs" (giant lumps of fat and wipes blocking UK sewers), and nobody wants to be responsible for a Fatberg.
The Rule: If it didn’t come out of your body (or isn’t toilet paper), put it in the bin.
So, how do I dispose of them?
Just toss them with your household rubbish. Because they are made of FSC-certified viscose (wood pulp), they will eventually break down in a landfill much faster than plastic wipes, which sit there for centuries plotting their revenge.
A word of caution: Even though viscose is a biodegradable and compostable material, please don’t put the used wipes in your food caddy. Used wet wipes are considered contamination by many local council food waste recycling schemes.
Miscellaneous Qs
Tell me about this "1% for the Planet" thing
It’s simple. We donate 1% of our gross revenue (that’s sales, not just profit) to environmental conservation charities.
You buy wipes, trees get planted (or oceans get cleaned). It’s guilt-free spending.
My baby ate the box. Is that okay?
The cardboard box? Well, it’s made from 100% recyclable wood pulp so it's probably high in fibre, but we strongly recommend sticking to real food.
Also, do please keep the wipes out of reach of your children - even though they are non-toxic, they aren’t for playing with (and definitely not for eating).
